Games - " Down Home" Fun At The Cabin

Cornhole Platform

Everyone seems to enjoy outdoor games while camping or entertaining in there backyard.

So start planning a backyard b-b-q.

Bring out the lemonade and brats and start playing cornhole.

Cornhole is a game in which players take turns pitching small bags of corn, (beans or sand) into a hole on the far end of a raised platform.

The object is to see who can score 21 points first.

When the bag goes into the hole that player scores 3 points,if the bag lands on the platform the score is 1 point.

The 2 platforms are set 30ft apart from the hole on the first platform,to the hole on the second platform.

The player can stand no futher than the back of the platform but no further up then the front of the platform.

The bags are made of duck cloth and are 6 in x 6 in and are filled with dried feed corn.

The platforms measures are 4ft x 2ft and are generally made of plywood.

Many people build and create their own custom platforms, and design them with a team name or a custom design of their choice.

Playing: Singles or Doubles

In doubles play, two people are partners against another team of two ;in singles play a contestant competes against another contestant.

In doubles play, one person from each team pitches from one cornhole platform and the other two people pitch from the other cornhole platform.

In singles play, both contestants pitch from the same cornhole platform. All other rules are basically the same for doubles or singles play.

Innings:

In doubles play, the top of an inning is completed when both contestants pitching from the first cornhole platform pitch all 4 bags.

The bottom of the inning is completed when the remaining contestants (pitching from the other cornhole platform) pitch all 4 bags.

In singles play, the top of an inning is completed when the first person pitches all 4 corn bags. All contestants must pitch all four bags before the inning is complete.
